After a long and successful career as one of the founders of
Clementina, LTD, in 1975 Don Fagan struck out on his own to found
Fagan Equipment, Inc. At a time when the aerial work platform
industry was in its infancy, Don made his mark as a sales rep for
Hunter Lift, selling scissors lifts up and down the west coast. For
every five lifts he sold, he bought one for himself with the
commission profits. Eventually building up an inventory of 25
scissors lifts, he was then able to expand into the rental business,
and leave sales behind. From these humble beginnings, Fagan
eventually grew his rental fleet to over 100 items, including boom
lifts and forklifts, as well as the original scissors lifts.
In addition to building an excellent reputation in the equipment
rental industry -- in fact he's sometimes referred to as one of the
founding fathers of the rental industry in California -- Don sold
both new and used equipment, building a loyal following over the
years.
In 1992, John Wetherholt took over the reigns, managing Fagan
High Reach with an emphasis on high standards of quality, service
and responsiveness. Fagan High Reach continues to serve the Bay Area
with both rental and sales, and provides the personal touch not
